As in the years past, Viva stars, executives, and employees gathered under one roof to celebrate the birthday of the Viva Films founder, Vic del Rosario Jr.
This year’s asalto party, held the night prior to his actual October 26th birthday, took place once again at the Viva-owned Music Hall music venue Pasig.
The spontaneously hilarious program was hosted by comics Tolits, Marissa Sanchez, and #Jowable herself, Kim Molina; while performers included: Mark Bautista, Janno Gibbs, Jimmy Marquez, Yumi, Raphiel Shannon, Janine Teñoso, Ronnie Liang, Katrina Velarde, Donnalyn Bartolome with the SBNewGen, and Andrew E. who literally made some noise as he led the “Happy Birthday” song.
Meanwhile, the well-wishers, who came to greet the entertainment magnate in person, included: Xian Lim, Matteo Guidicelli, couple Ella Cruz and Julian Trono, Carlyn Ocampo, Patricia Javier, Yam Concepcion, Kylie Versoza, director Irene Villamayor and talent managers Annabelle Rama and Daisy Romualdez.
Besides the well-prepared audio-visual tribute, gathered from Viva stars past and present, the party’s highlights this year included impromptu musical performances from Bela Padilla, Rico Blanco, and Heneral John Arcilla.
Before the night ended, Boss Vic thanked everyone who made not just the party happen; but more so, those who continue to make Viva happen along with him. He made special mention of his four children—Vincent, Veronique, Valerie, and VR; as well as his loyal executives and employees.
After declaring that he just turned “54 years old,” the Viva patriarch then admonished everyone to party some more with the ultra-talented The Juans providing the party music.
