Growing up in a broken family, Val (Jerald Napoles) swore not to end up like his mother and father. For him, the only way to do that is to not get involved in any romantic relationship at all. Hooking up with women, he would soon get one pregnant and leaves him with the baby. This baby grew up and changed his world.

A man who vowed to stay away from serious relationships is suddenly forced into a long-term commitment – that of raising a child all by himself.

Viva Films proudly presents an adaptation of the Mexican global blockbuster hit, INSTRUCTIONS NOT INCLUDED, Instant Daddy is a heartwarming family dramedy starring Jerald Napoles as Val Roxas and Althea Ruedas as her daughter Mira.

Growing up in a broken family, Val swore not to end up like his mother and father. For him, the only way to do that is to not get involved in any romantic relationship at all. He still has unhealed feelings towards his mother who left him. He grew up with his father who was always strict with him.

In Manila, Val works as a taxi driver. He gets to meet and hook up with different women. One of them is Julie, a spa therapist. One year later, Julie shows up again with a baby daughter, claiming that she is his. Before he knows it, Julie is gone, and he is left with the baby.

Though unprepared and unwilling, Val, the “Instant Daddy”, takes care of his daughter Mira. And as the days and years go by, taking care of her is no longer just a duty, but his joy. Mira grows up to be a sassy but lovable girl who radiates positivity. She constantly reminds Val of things he tends to forget. She also lives in a world of fantasy, believing in the Magic Island. Despite being loved dearly by her Daddy Val, Mira still longs for a mother’s love.

When Julie comes back to seek custody of Mira, can Val make the ultimate sacrifice of giving his daughter what she wants? If he does fight for his right to keep her, does he even stand a chance? Can he prevent their lives from changing in an instant?

Instant Daddy is directed by award-winning director and screenwriter Crisanto Aquino (Write About Love). Aside from Danita Paner who plays the role of Julie, Ryza Cenon also assumes the role of Val’s love interest Kate. This movie also stars MC Muah and Nikko Natividad as Val’s friends.
