Ang babalang “bilang na ang araw mo” became the apt and catchy title ng 1996 Cesar Montano starrer na pag pinanood mo ngayon ay mas mare-realize mong hanep pala ang casting ng pelikulang ito.
For one, action star pa dito si Rustom Padilla, who “died” and resurrected as BB Gandanghari. Free man pa noon si Dennis Roldan (Mitchell Gumabao in real life) na pag kumurap ka ay aakalain mong si Marco Gumabao. Habang si Willie Revillame naman ay tsiwariwariwap lang noon pero multi-millionaire na ngayon. There’s also Daniel Fernando na Governor na ng Bulacan ngayon.
Tapos, may Charlene Gonzalez pa—na Mrs. Aga Muhlach na ngayon—na kakapasok lang halos sa showbiz noon after her 1994 Miss Universe stint.
As for the bidang si Cesar, na kamukang-kamuka naman ni Diego Loyzaga dito, he was lording it over sa action genre at that time. Kainitan ng action career niya ang mga taong 1993 to 1998 bago siya naging si Jose Rizal.
Bilang Na ang Araw Mo is story of childhood BFFs (Cesar and Rustom) na nu’ng maging adults ay nagkahiwalay ng tinahak na landas. Cesar (as Raphael) became a hired killer, habang si Rustom (as Martin) became a defense lawyer na questionable ang mga dinidepensahan.
Magku-krus muli ang mga landas nila but not as friends. Will they regain their brotherhood in the end o sila mismo ang magpapapatayan?
This action-drama film, written by Humilde 'Meek' Roxas and Toto Natividad and directed by the latter.
