Ria Atayde, tinanggap ang hosting job sa TV 5 kahit walang experience dahil “...who says no to blessings at a time like this?”

“I mean, you know, aside from the fact you na at a time when everybody’s losing jobs and at a time na ngayon parang everybody’s so lost, here I am na parang hindi ko inakala na I’d get an opportunity this big,” tsika ni Ria sa exclusive interview ng pikapika.ph.

“So, kahit hindi ako comfortable sa idea at first, I said yes because it’s such a good opportunity. And who says no to blessings at a time like this, you know?”

Alam daw niyang marami pa siyang kailangan matutunan at i-improve as far as hosting is concerened and she’s trying her best naman daw.

“I was supposed to, I wanted to before all of these [pandemic], even before the offer, I really wanted to because  si Mommy pinipilit niya ako sa ganu’n. So, matagal ko ng plano pero never natuloy. So, parang I wasn’t prepared and then here we are.”

Buti nalang at may baon naman siya—her innate kadaldalan at articulateness. Kaya kahit kabado, madali naman siyang naka-blend sa matsitsika niyang kasama kahit first time din niyang maka-trabaho both of them.

“Makikita mo naman how they are as people na they’re both very open and they’re both very talkative and alam ninyo naman po na madaldal din ako so I feel that was a good starting point for us... nu’ng photoshoot palang, e...”

Prior to that ay nagka-virtual bonding naman daw silang tatlo along with the production staff kaya kahit paano ay nakapa na niya ang timpla nina Pokwang at Pauleen.

“Nu’ng before the photoshoot po kasi we had like a Zoom conference with everybody... parang pitching kung ano’ng magiging look ng place, pitching kung ano’ng magiging look namin sa show... if you notice, ’yong colors namin are really alive and all.”

Hindi ko inakalang I’d enjoy it as much as I’m enjoying it now. It’s different from acting. It does demand a level of acting on my part pero it’s fun, okey din sya.”

When asked kung sino ang top three na gusting niyang ma-interview sa show in the future...

“My brother [Arjo Atayde], Kath [Bernardo], and Korina Sanchez... for a change para s’ya naman ’yong i-interview-hin.
