Gabi-gabing nasa wake ni Eddie Garcia ang mag-asawang Tirso at Lynn Cruz. Mataas na mataas din kasi ang respeto ni Tirso Cruz III sa namayapang aktor, hindi lang bilang artista, but more son, bilang kaibigan. Maraming ibinahagi si Tirso that night, pero in summary, sinabi niyang showbiz will never be the same without him. “He is a rock and he is an island that can stand alone by himself.”
Bago tapusin ang kanyang tribute, hiniling ni Tirso na tumayo ang asawa ni Eddie na si Lilibeth Romero para maipakilala sa tao at para na rin banyan ng bouquet of flowers. Dahil ayon kay Tirso, tama lang na bigyan din ng pauri ang partner ni Tito Eddie niya for 33 years.
“….This is to recognize the other half of Eddie Garcia,” sambit ni Tirso as he handed her the flowers. “A woman who has devoted her life and her love to Eddie …a woman who has made life easier and more beautiful for our beloved Eddie Garcia. This is just for being the woman who has loved, was loved, and will always be loved by Eddie Garcia.”
