EXCLUSIVE: Klaudia Koronel's "Beach" life in Manila

Klaudia says her Azure investment is the “katas” of her “pagho-homecare” in Arizona, USA. “Mas marami akong napundar no’ng nag-trabaho ako sa Amerika kasi no’ng nandito ako, happy-go-lucky ako dati. Doon hindi. May limit ’yong pag gimik doon. Mas naging matured ako. Mas natuto akong humawak ng pera.”

Klaudia says her Azure investment is the “katas” of her “pagho-homecare” in Arizona, USA. “Mas marami akong napundar no’ng nag-trabaho ako sa Amerika kasi no’ng nandito ako, happy-go-lucky ako dati. Doon hindi. May limit ’yong pag gimik doon. Mas naging matured ako. Mas natuto akong humawak ng pera.”

In August last year, former sexy actress Klaudia Koronel—who now resides in Los Angeles, California—took a one-month vacation from her assistant nursing duties in America and spent time with her family in Manila and in Iloilo.

Klaudia—who is KK to her showbiz friends and Milfe—to her family has at least 20 movies to her credits, most of those were sexy films made by her home studio, Seiko Films. But towards the latter part of her career, she’s able to make artsy movies that made rounds at international film festivals such as Joey Reyes’s Live Show (2000) and Jeffrey Jeturian’s Tuhog (2001).

In 2009, after marrying Chinese businessman Andy Zhang in a much-publicized wedding in Manila, Klaudia left the country to live with her husband in Arizona, USA. That is, up until their divorce in 2014. But while there, she worked in a nursing home until her former husband decided to put up one for her to run. A few years after her divorce, she moved to Los Angeles, California, where she resides to this day and where she continues to work in the medical field as a certified nursing assistant, which she says is her true calling.

“Doon pala ako magaling na akala ko puro ganda lang ako pero meron rin pala akong talino sa medical field,” Klaudia told pikapika.ph when we visited her Manila home during her last vacation.

While in the Philippines last year, Klaudia showed pikapika her condo unit in one of the buildings inside the Azure Urban Resort Residences in Parañaque City, as well as toured us around the compound of the exclusive community that prides itself for having a “beach” among its top amenities.

Go have a look:

When in the Philippines, she spends her days with her family and friends that mostly live in Quezon City but goes home this studio spread in Parañaque.

When Klaudia hibernated from social media a few years back, rumors got around that she may be having a hard luck in America and that she’s living the exact opposite of her American dream.

When she’s not in the Philippines, Klaudia rents out her space “sa mga medyo kakilala.”

Klaudia likes hanging out in the roofdeck park that looks out to either the ”beach” area down below or the southern Manila skyline, depends on which part of the park you choose to stay. All the seven towers in the complex has a uniform roofdeck park.

The  well-lighted roofdeck park boasts of gazeboz and pocket gardens where residents and their guests can hang out, except during midnight.

Klaudia’s unit isn’t facing the “beach,” that is why when she’s there, she makes sure she spends a lot of time at the roofdeck.

It’s the resort or beach vibe of the Azure Urban Resort Residences that appealed most to Klaudia.

According to the property’s website, Azure Urban Resort Residences “is a one-of-a-kind residential project that features the Philippines’ first man-made beach and a wide range of amenities such as a Zen garden, playgrounds, lap pool with cascading waterfalls, poolside bar, beach volleyball area and a basketball court.”

The man-made beach, supposedly inspired by Miami white-sand beaches, is the centerpiece amenity of the property. Paris Hilton came to Manila in March 2014 to formally open the beach club that’s been named after her.

Klaudia’s coming home again anytime soon to take care of her sick mother and to reunite with her younger sister Iris, who is now working in the UAE.
