Ayaw pa masyadong i-detalye ni Xian Lim ang tungkol sa first full-length movie na ididirek niya para sa Cinemalaya Film Festival 2019.
Pero ito ay off-shoot ng produktong pinagpaguran ng niya ng 15 weeks noong mag-scriptwriting workshop under writing guru, Ricky Lee, last year.
Taong 2009 daw nang ma-realize niyang gusto niyang maging writer-director habang ginagawa ang 2010 Cinemalaya entry, Two Funerals directed by the late Gil Portes.
Kahapon, August 12, ay opisyal nang in-announce ni Xian sa Instagram ang title ng directorial debut niya for Cinemalaya 2019.
The said movie, reportedly a psychological-thriller, is called Tabon. Siya rin ang nagsulat nito kaya malaking hamon kay Xian ang bagong ventures niyang ito.
Xian, who was part of Ricky Lee’s Batch 17 scriptwriting workshoppers last year, is vent to prove himself in two other creative areas of movie-making—writing and directing.
