Viva’s new superstar Xia Vigor was supposed to reject the Miracle in Cell No. 7 role according to her Mommy Christy, who was present during her contract signing with Viva recently.

Mommy Christy shared that prior to the Yesha offer, they already bid farewell to Xia’s former artist management, Star Magic, as the family is set to go back to England, where Xia grew up.

“Galing po kami ng Star Magic, doon po kami ng two years, natapos na din po ’yong contract namin,” Mommy Christy began.

“Nagpaalam na po kami sa kanila, actually we’re going back to England tapos bigla pong dumating itong Miracle [in Cell No. 7].

Mommy Christy was admittedly hesitant initially. She said she was already bent in bringing Xia back to England in order to continue her studies there.

Mommy Christy also disclosed that even Star Magic had a number of projects lined up for Xia. But that time, she already made up her mind to leave the country with her kids.

“Marami naman po sila in-offer sa akin. Ayaw po nila na umalis si Xia, they told me na, ‘We love Xia mommy, we don’t want her to go.’

Another reason why Mommy Christy wanted to live abroad again is that she also has a salon to take care of back there.

“Kasi doon po may salon ako, pinapa-rent po namin parang back-up plan ko po ’yon. Kaso po dumating ’yong Miracle [in Cell No. 7].

Tapos biglang napunta ’yong Miracle so I think...she’s meant to be here.

“Baka may gagawin pa talaga siya rito.”

When asked if she expected that Miracle in Cell No. 7 will make it big, Mommy Christy was quick to say, “No, hindi ko po talaga in-expect.”

She admitted that rejecting the project already crossed her mind because she was choosing between Xia’s education and showbiz career.

After accepting the project, Mommy Christy promised that they will really go back to England once it finished. But it looks like, Xia is really meant to be in the showbiz industry.

And now, Xia is set to spread her wings even more as she’s set to do another father-and-daughter movie under Viva, of course, this time with Janno Gibbs, plus a still-undisclosed solo project.

Not everyone is meant to be a star. But Xia is already one. Congrats!
