“I'm so grateful. I know that this is a really big opportunity to be part of Sparkle. I'm always so grateful to GMA. It's motivating me to work harder especially for this coming year," masayang pahayag ni Ysabel na naging Kapuso artists noong 2019 at lumabas na sa primetime teleserye na The Gift.
This year, aabangan si Ysabel sa highly-anticipated series ng GMA na Voltes V: Legacy, na hango sa Voltes V or Super Electromagnetic Machine Voltes V, isang iconic Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Company and Nippon Sunrise. It aired on TV Asahi from June 1977 to March 1978.
"We've been working really hard for Voltes V: Legacy. Patuloy pa rin kaming magsu-shoot for that. I'm really excited to start working and working hard. I'm really going to do my best.”
Kasama pa ni Ysabel sa Voltes V: Legacy ay sina Miguel Tanfelix as Steve Armstrong, Radson Flores as Mark Gordon, Matt Lozano as Big Bert Armstrong and Rafael Landicho as Little John Armstrong.
Kabahagi naman sa supporting cast sina Martin del Rosario as Prince Zardoz, Liezel Lopez as Zandra, Epi Quizon as Zuhl, Carlo Gonzales as Draco, Gabby Eigenmann as Commander Robinson, Neil Ryan Sese as Dr. Hook, and Albert Martinez as Dr. Smith.
Last year ay naka-graduate si Ysabel sa kanyang political economy degree mula sa University of Asia and the Pacific.
"If everything seems so overwhelming, it's good to remind yourself that it will be worth it in the end.
"It was a really big juggle and a big struggle to balance everything. There were times when I wanted to stop school for a while, or just focus on school only or work alone, and it was always a question of, 'can I do this?'
"Thankfully, I was able to finish my college degree and I was able to graduate last year. It was a fulfilling part, milestone of my life. Not only did I graduate but that was a big representation of my hard work, of all the time and effort I put in for my two passions in life: studies and acting.
"When things get hard for me, when I get overwhelmed, I'm going to think to myself that if I was able to overcome that, then I'll be able to overcome this.
“I went through so much worse in the past and I was able to get through it. I'll bring that with me this 2022, to not give up and stay focused. If you stay focused and determined, you'll reach your goal."
