Enchong Dee has been given nothing but praises by Vice President Leni Robredo because of his initiatives to help his fellow Filipinos during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an online interview with television writer G3 San Diego last Monday, October 12, Robredo commended the actor for being proactive when it comes to volunteer work. She recalled the time he arrived at the Office of the Vice President (OVP) unannounced to donate food to other volunteers.

“May mga artista na silently, very very silently tumutulong. Example, si Enchong.

The Vice President also recounted how Enchong volunteered to have someone he knew disinfect the OVP as safety measure against the fast-spreading COVID-19.

She, then, explained how Enchong informed them how the disinfection should happen after office hours, as the procedure required people to vacate the OVP.

"So kami, nag-schedule kami 6 o’clock in the evening, wala na kaming lahat. Si Enchong mismo ‘yung naglilinis," she recalled.

Parang for him to do that, more than what is expected," the Vice President added.

It was last April when Enchong donated 500 personal protective equipment (PPE) and food to the OVP who has been aiding frontliners during the COVID-19 pandemic.
