TJ Cruz, the eldest son of veteran actor Tirso Cruz III, has passed away earlier today, November 21, due to lymphatic cancer. He was 37 years old.
According to an Instagram post made by entertainment columnist Lolit Solis, TJ passed away in the wee hours of the morning. Lolit described TJ and his siblings as “very friendly and magalang.”
“Pag naghahanap kami ng tulong sa ospital siya ang nilalapitan namin,” she said of TJ.
Lolit added, “Sana ma-overcome nila ang sadness na ito. We pray that God will welcome TJ, sana forever his memories, his happy ones will always be remembered. We pray for you TJ. We pray for Tirso and Lyn, for the Cruz family, we honor your sadness, we will always be praying for you.”
According to showbiz sources, TJ’s cancer was detected only six months ago.
He is survived by his parents Tirso and Lynn, and his younger siblings Bodie and Djanin.
