Actor Alden Richards have really come a long way—from trying his luck in the GMA-7 talent search StarStuck during its fifth season in 2009 to being one of the most sought-after artists in the country today.
Alden’s showbiz career even skyrocketed when he was paired up with Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza as the other half of the famous and unexpected on-screen love team, AlDub.
Just when we thought Alden already achieved enough, he continues to surprise us with more accomplishments.
Recently, the actor crossed-over to rival network, ABS-CBN, to star in the romance-drama Hello, Love, Goodbye as a leading man to the equally-famous Kathryn Bernardo.
The said film conquered the local cinemas for 5 weeks and was later hailed as the highest grossing Filipino film with ₱880,603,490 worldwide gross as announced by Star Cinema last Tuesday.
Fresh from his success in the film, the Pambansang Bae was given recognition last August 28 at the 14th Seoul International Drama Awards in South Korea bagging the Asian Prize Award during the ceremony.
Alden dedicates all his triumphs to his late mom Rosario, who passed on in 2008. It was his Mommy Rosario that dreamt about Alden making it big in showbiz. And he did!
“LORD para talaga sayo lahat to, Mama kung nasan ka man...sana proud ka sa akin ma. See you soon ok? Thank you sa inspirasyon.” says Alden in his Twitter post yesterday.
