Local pop band The Juans just reached another milestone in their music career!
The quintet’s heartbreaking song “Hindi Tayo Pwede” just reached six million streams on Spotify alone while its official music video, which is posted on YouTube, has already amassed close to nine million views, as of this writing.
The song resurfaced after the OST Princess Janine Teñoso released her own beautiful rendition, which made it to the official soundtrack for the film INDAK topbilled by multi-awarded actress Nadine Lustre and singer-actor Sam Concepcion.
Since then, the heartbroken Pinoys also started to listen to the song’s original version, written and recorded by The Juans themselves.
“Hindi Tayo Pwede” is part of their EP, Umaga.
No wonder people couldn’t help but stream their single a thousand times a day because it has a distinct take on love and heartbreak.
But the band’s real goal for the song, The Juans said in their YouTube upload preamble, is “for people to know na hindi sila nag-iisa sa mga pinagdadaanan nila. Maraming kagaya sa mundo na dumadanas din ng pinagdadaanan nila na...the feeling of meeting someone and ending up realizing that they are not (meant) for each other. And technically, hindi kayo pwede.”
Congrats, The Juans!
