Excited si Sunshine Cruz sa una niyang Cinemalaya project titled Malamaya, kung saan ka-partner niya ang hunky actor na si Enzo Pineda.
“I am very thankful na I was offered this project. I mean, sa dinami-rami ng mga actress na pwedeng alukin ng role, it was given to me,” sabi ni Sunshine nang dalawin ng press ang shooting ng Malamaya last Sunday, June 23.
Sunshine plays a multi-media visual artist in this film who reignites her lost passion with an aspiring photographer played by Enzo Pineda. Getting in the way of their romance is a potter played naman by Raymond Bagatsing.
Dalawang baguhang female directors ang hahawak sa pelikula behind the camera, sina Leilani Chavez at Danica Sta. Lucia. Kaya kahit na may mga sensual love scenes siya with Enzo, ipinapaubaya na ni Sunshine ang kanyang sarili sa kanyang mga director.
“I am giving them my full trust. Since mga babae rin naman sila, alam ko na hindi nila ako pababayaan pagdating sa mga delicate scenes,” wika pa ni Sunshine.
Ayon sa aktres, nakunan na ang tatlo sa maraming love scenes na gagawin nila ni Enzo. Nagpapasalamat naman siya dahil very professional na katrabaho ni Enzo, na first time lang din niya makakasama sa pelikula.
“I am excited to work with Enzo. He is new and first time rin niyang gagawa ng mga delicate scenes. What is nice about Enzo is that he is very cooperative and he is willing to learn.”
Since entry ang Malamaya sa Cinemalaya, tinanong si Sunshine about her winning an award for her performance.
“Naku, that would be very nice indeed pero the fact that ako ang pinili ng mga producers to play the lead role is an honor itself. Kahit di ako mag-win ng award, very happy ako to play the female lead in this movie.”
Ang Malamaya is a romance drama that Spears Film, headed by Albert Almandralejo, is co-producing with ALV Productions and Cine Likha Productions.
