Sa January 2 ay pang-third episode na ng musical talk show nina Concert King and Queen Martin Nievera at Pops Fernandez, ang eXes & whYs with Pops and Martin sa Colours Channel.
Guests nila sa pilot episode ang The Company, while si Matteo Guidicelli naman graced the second episode.
We wonder kung sino sa guest line up nila ang aapir sa third episode. It could be ZsaZsa Padilla, Vina Morales, Geneva Cruz, KZ Tandingan, or Jaya. Kung sinuman, paniguradong bongga ang kantahan.
Pero ang mas inaabangan ng mga Martin and Pops fans ay ang mga banter ng ex-mag-dyowa. Para na kasing modern and updated version ng Penthouse Live! Itong eXes & Whys at dahil nga mag-ex na sila (turned good friends over the years) kaya siguradong mas makulay ang mga linyahan nila.
Sa pa-presscon palang nila a few weeks ago, aliw na ang entertainment press sa mga pinakawalan nilang truths about themselves including kung paano sila umabot sa puntong naging magka-ibigan matapos ang maraming taon ng pain.
At sa ngayon, kalmado na nga ang lahat. Pops even embraced Martin’s son with Katrina Ojeda as her own dahil irresistible at napaka-warm daw no’ng bagets. Friends din si Pipay (palayaw ni Pops) sa longtime girlfriend ni Martin who is simply called Anj.
Extended and blended families na sila ngayon at ang saya-saya tingnan kapag nagpo-post sila sa social media ng mga pictures na magkakasama.
Isang classic example na time heals all wounds. Hindi daw madali ang proseso, pero kailangang pagdaanan. But once napagdaanan na at naka-let go, pupunta at pupunta naman daw sa pag-ginhawa ng dibdib.
In fact, masaya daw si Pops para kay Martin na may kasama at katuwang ngayon sa buhay.
“I think it’s important for both of us as individuals to be happy,” very Pops (articulate and classy) na bungad ni Pipay. “So, I see Martin and I see him very happy, so it makes me happy. So, I think the moral of the story is, at the end of the day, kung sino ’yong makakapagbigay ng kaligayahan sa amin, is what is more important...
“It’s not really the getting back together...because I see Martin now, he’s with a partner and I’m very, very happy for him. Am I sad? No, I’m not...I’m not sad at all...”
“Dati I was sad...” bawing pag-amin niya. Addressing Martin, she said: “Mart, believe it or not, I was sad. Lalong-lalo na pag single ako... ‘Bakit ba wala akong partner?’ Or kunyari magbe-break ako...‘Bakit ba gano’n, it doesn’t work out?’ Then I’d realize, probably it would just happen, I don’t have to force it. Then it made me happier...So, I’m very okay.
“Again, I repeat, I am very single...and I’m very happy about it,” diing pagtatapos ni Pops na saglit na nasangkot sa hiwalayang Derek Ramsay at Andrea Torres.
Martin, for his part, tried being friends din daw with whoever Pops was dating before dahil he wanted the guy to treat Pops and his sons—Robin and Ram—right.
“But when she wasn’t [single], I was very happy for her as well,” dugtong ni Martin sa statement ni Pops. “I made sure that I was good friends with the people who made her happy because I wanted to know that everything was okay with the two of them and how he would treat my boys. It’s very important to really get to know that person.”
“And besides, if we get together again...we have to change the title of the show...it’s such a hassle...” pagbibiro pa ni Martin sa mga hopya [hoping] pa rin na magkabalikan sila.
“It will just be Why & Why?” natatawang sakay ni Pops.
“Or, Why Again?” makulit na dugtong ni Martin.
Anyway, ang show ng mag-ex is being directed by their son, Robin Nievera, na incidentally also stars in his own musical show with music genius Louie Ocampo (na practically members na daw ng Nievera-Fernandez family) dahil sa tagal ng kanilang pinagsamahan.
The show, which airs every 9PM Sundays also on Colours, is called Louie O. LIVE! with Robin Nievera. Bale, in effect ay ka-back-to-back ito ng eXes & whYs With Pops and Martin, which airs every Saturdays naman, also at 9PM.
