Park Seo Joon feels honored to be compared to Ryan Gosling but promises work extra hard to be known for his own craft next time.

Park Seo Joon’s Pinoy fans just had the best time of their lives over the weekend as they finally had the chance to see and meet their idol personally. All thanks to local brand Bench!

South Korean actor Park Seo Joon arrived in Manila for the first time last Friday, September 27. After he landed, he attended a press conference as Bench’s international celebrity ambassador last Saturday and met his fans at the Mall of Asia Arena yesterday.

During the said press conference held two days ago, Seo Joon expressed that he’s flattered to be dubbed Asia’s Ryan Gosling.

Ryan Gosling is a famous Canadian actor and musician in Hollywood.

“I’m actually a fan of Ryan Gosling.” Seo Joon revealed through a translator. “I watched his work and enjoyed his work. And I’m very flattered that people compare me to Ryan Gosling.”

Although he felt honored to be compared to the La La Land actor, Seo Joon admitted that he will work extra hard to establish his name more so that he will be known for his own craft.

He explained, “But I hope in the future I will not be dubbed as Asia’s anything. I would like to make myself known as the person that I am so I’m going to work harder on projects so I could put more of myself out there. But I’m absolutely honored that people compare me to Ryan Gosling.”

In that same interview, Seo Joon also mentioned that he’s interested to give Hollywood a shot in the future and that he has to really work on how to be fluent in English.

The Korean superstar is known for his K-Drama shows such as “What's Wrong with Secretary Kim” and “Fight for my Way,” and in his movies “Midnight Runners” and “Divine Fury”.
