"First day back at work after recovering from COVID was a bit of a struggle," the actress wrote, saying she was happy and excited to return for work but, at the same time, felt nervous and anxious.
Yet, Nikki said she was grateful to see her co-workers again.
"We had our own share of stories to tell," she said. "My body is extra tired but my heart is filled with gratitude for this day and all the people I'm surrounded with. Indeed, there is always something to be thankful for."
Last April 9, Nikki revealed that she and her husband Luis Garcia previously tested positive for COVID-19. She also talked about the agony of being isolated while battling the deadly disease.
She added that surviving COVID-19 made her gain a "healthier perspective" on things and make her family grow stronger.
Nikki's co-stars in the Kapamilya series Bagong Umaga, Sunshine Cruz and Heaven Peralejo, previously tested positive for COVID-19, as well. Both of them, like Nikki, are now recovered from the disease.
