Meet Allmo$t (L-R): Jom, Russell, Crakky, and Clien.

You may not realize it, but you've probably heard a song by the underground hip-hop group Allmo$t. Formed in 2018, the four-piece act is now best known for their song "Dalaga," which was used in the funny #DalagangPilipinaChallenge that's still making its rounds on social media. The challenge, which started out as a funny clip by vlogger Mimi, became so popular among netizens that celebrities soon made their own quirky versions.

Though the video challenge only went viral last month, the song used in it has actually been around for a while. "Dalaga" is the first single released by Allmo$t, composed of rappers Crakky and Russell; as well as singers Clien and Jom.

The quartet came together only last year, when the Olongapo-based Crakky and Russell contacted Clien and Jom to collaborate with them on the track that would eventually become "Dalaga."

"Ako po 'yong unang nakasulat ng kanta," said Crakky, "and then prinesent ko po sa kanila. No'ng nagustuhan nila, naisipan po namin gumawa ng grupo."

Since both Clien and Jom were overseas (Clien is from Italy while Jom is from Canada), most of the song came together through a group chat where the members would send instrumentals to each other and come back with finished verses. Crakky then mixed and mastered the entire track, which was eventually released in mid-2018.

Though most Pinoys only heard "Dalaga" last month, it's not actually the song's first time to go viral. According to Russell, it also became part of a video challenge among Clien's circle in Italy; after which it became even more popular due to dance covers.

But of course, it was the Dalagang Pilipina challenge that propelled it into the mainstream—something Crakky and Russell are still amazed about.

"Sobrang saya po namin, kasi siyempre, kahit saan ka tumingin, magpunta, naririnig mo na 'yong kanta," said Crakky.

Added Jom: "Mapa-TV, kahit saan sa tindahan, sa kapitbahay, naririnig na. Nakaka-overwhelm.

It seems that there is more in store for the group, as they recently signed with Viva—the home of artists like Sarah Geronimo, James Reid, Janine Tenoso, and many others.

Crakky and Russell represented the group during the contract-signing held Tuesday at the Viva office.

The two rappers said that the two younger members of the group, Clien and Jom, will come home to the Philippines later this year so they can pursue music as a full group.

They also promised that new music is coming soon.

"Ngayon po project po namin gawan ng music video 'yong Dalaga. Then maglalabas po ng mga bagong single," said Crakky.

"Then may Part 2 din po 'yong Dalaga, which is ang title niya po ay 'Ikaw.'"
