Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto, during his guesting on the GMA-7 commentary program Bawal ang Pasaway kay Mareng Winnie (which aired last August 20), admiited that he’s been “too busy” that he’s actually a certified NGSB or no girlfriend since birth.
“Wala ho, masyadong naging busy po. Lalo na po ngayon na mas naging busy sa trabaho,” Vico told host Winnie Monsod when the latter asked about how many girlfriends he’s had before winning the mayoral election.
In the same interview, Mayor Vico—who’s one of Metro Manila’s most eligible but seems-to-be-elusive bachelors—was also quick to clarify that it was his choice to stay single and that it wasn’t caused by any stigma from the separation of his parents Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes.
The 30-year-old Mayor explained: “Hindi naman ho...hindi ko lang na-plano. Lalo na sa ngayon na last thing on my mind ika nga (having a relationship). Talagang focus muna sa trabaho,”
And now that he’s in public office, he mentioned that it’s become even harder for him to have find someone to give his heart to.
“Ma’am Winnie karamihan po ng lumalapit sa akin na babae mga senior citizens po...kaya wala din pong lovelife doon,” he joked.
When asked about his ideal girlfriend, he said: “Gusto ko po sana...Hindi naman po tayo magiging choosy, gusto ko po sana matalino, may itsura naman, wala naman nothing special...”
Mayor Vico quickly added: “Sa matalino po ako...but more than matalino, gusto ko sana ’yong same wavelength kami. Nagkakaintindihan po lalo na pagdating sa mga topic na governance…”
And with regards to settling down, he said he wishes to get married before he turns 40 years old.
But though he’s an NGSB, he said he’s not pressured at all to have one.
“Diyos na po bahala…Tumatanggap naman ako ng aplikante,” he laughed.
