As an artista, Maxene Magalona knows her priority despite the overwhelming workload and crazy schedules she takes really good care of herself.

Self-care is not just limited to taking care of your physical health but your whole being in all aspects; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Scrolling through Maxene’s Instagram, it is evident how she gives importance to her mental health and doing yoga helps her in maintaining not only her shape but also gives her a peaceful mind.

According to a yoga professional and licensed psychotherapist Ashley Turner, “yoga is the key to psychological and emotional healing as well as resolving issues with self-confidence, relationships, and more.”

Yesterday, the PlayHouse actress shared her 12 ways for self-care and perhaps it can help you too.

1. If it feels wrong, don’t do it.

2. Say exactly what you mean.

3. Don’t be a people pleaser.

4. Trust your instincts.

5. Never speak bad about yourself.

6. Never give up on your dreams.

7. Don’t be afraid to say no.

8. Don’t be afraid to say yes.

9. Be kind to yourself.

10. Let go of what you can’t control.

11. Stay away from drama and negativity.
