After her critically-acclaimed performance as Ally in 2018’s A Star Is Born, singer-actress Lady Gaga sinks her teeth in the role of Patrizia Reggiani, the convicted murderer of her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci in the true story/murder drama, House of Gucci.

Gaga revealed via Instagram her first look as Patrizia Reggiani together with two-time Oscar nominee, Adam Driver as Maurizio Gucci.

The photo taken on location in Italy with snow and mountain in the background, Gaga captioned: “Signore e Signora Gucci,” which means Mr. and Mrs. Gucci.

Driver is dressed in a cable knit turtleneck sweater with a separate one knotted around his waist while Gaga in an all-black ensemble with gold chains and a white Cossack hat.

The film, directed by Ridley Scott, unfolds the events involving the assassination of Guccio Gucci’s grandson, Maurizio.

Convicted of orchestrating Maurizio Gucci’s murder in 1995 after he left her for a younger woman, Patrizia Reggiani served an 18-year term in prison. She was called Black Widow by the Italian media before being released in 2016.

Maurizio and Reggiani had two children together. Reggiani was further diagnosed with a brain tumor amid the scandal, which her kids reportedly blamed for her actions.

The movie also showcases the true story regarding the Gucci family dynasty and its gradual decadence.

Written by Roberto Bentivegna, House of Gucci is based on the Sara Gay Forden novel The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.

Joining Gaga and Driver in the cast are Oscar winners Al Pacino, Jared Leto and Jeremy Irons.

House of Gucci will premiere on November 24, 2021.
