Isang superhero ang gagampanan ni Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa sa kanyang kauna-unahang movie leading role. Ito ay si Osyana, ang titular character sa upcoming movie ng Epik Studios, the same company behind the upcoming films Pedro Penduko, na pagbibidahan ni James Reid, at Maria Makiling, kung saan bida naman si Nadine Lustre.
In-unveil si Kylie bilang si Osyana sa History Convention noong Sabado, August 11, sa World Trade Center. Lumabas ang actress/beauty queen na suot ang kanyang superhero costume, complete with headdress and boots.
Ayon sa Epik Studios, Osyana is a sea siren who “battles the terrifying pirate, Bandido, in a desperate attempt to preserve her tribe’s culture and to save her people from her adversary’s ancient evil.” Base ang pelikula sa graphic novel of the same name, written by Charles Santino and illustrated by Jim Jimenez.
Slated for release ang Osyana sa 2020.
