Earlier that night, the Kita Kita writer-director then posted a picture of herself attending the premiere night, while writing as caption her experience while watching a remake of her own film.

“It was an overwhelming experience to watch a remake/adaptation of your own film. I was holding back my tears all through out the movie,” she wrote. “As I continued to watch “Cinta Itu Buta” (Love is blind), I became one of the audience and forgot that this was a remake. I was transported to the sweet story of Diah and Nik.

She also thanked director Arunita for adding her own flavor to her original work and the cast and crew for choosing Kita-Kita as an adaptation.

“Team @cintaitubutaofficial I wish you all the best and success to your film! Claim it! Team Kita Kita, what else can I say but thank you and congratulations to all of us! I will always be grateful for this. Terima Kasih from the ♥️ of the 🍌” she ended.
