Last Sunday, October 13, Moira Dela Torre and Daniel Padilla won Best Song at the Himig Handog 2019 for their interpretation of Dan Tañedo’s Mabagal.
Apart from the grand prize, this song by Moira and Daniel bagged five special awards, specifically MOR Phils Choice Awards, MYX Choice for Best Music Video, One Music PH Choice for Favorite Interpreter, Star Music’s Choice, and Listener’s Choice for Most Streamed Track.
For its victory over the special awards, the song received a total of P250,000 in addition to the grand prize of P1,000,000 and a trophy.
Daniel’s real-and-reel life partner Kathryn Bernardo took to Twitter to express her elation towards her special someone’s victory.

It could be recalled that the couple took a vacation to Iceland before going back to work in the Philippines. The powerhouse love team known as KathNiel went around the Nordic country to do different activities such as swimming in the Blue Lagoon and gazing at the Northern Lights.
