Proud ang Asian Academy Creative Awards best actress na si Jodi Sta. Maria na naging bahagi siya ng kauna-unahang historic event on Philippine television: ang pagsasanib-puwersa ng GMA-7 at ABS-CBN thru Dreamscape Entertainment at sa tulong ng Viu sa paghahatid ng romantic drama series na Unbreak My Heart.
Katunayan, siya man daw ay hindi makapaniwalang tutuntong siya sa Kapuso network para i-promote ang kanilang serye.
"Many years ago kasi no one thought, not even in their wildest dreams that this moment right here would be possible. Before, ABS-CBN and GMA-7 were rivals, competitors for ratings, for audience share. But now, nagbago iyon. We are no longer rivals but we are here today as collaborators and partners with goals and that is to provide more opportunities for people in the industry that we have grown to love and to give the audience and provide them quality entertainment," ani Jodi.
Nagpapasalamat din siya na nabigyan siya ng oportunidad na makatrabaho ang ibang artists ng Kapuso network.
"I feel grateful, honored and blessed to be part of this project and I would like to thank everyone who made this beautiful impossibility possible. To ABS-CBN and GMA-7 and of course to Viu who will provide us that streaming platform in strengthening and showcasing Filipino talent worldwide," bulalas pa niya.
Aniya, magandang senyales daw ang pagbabagong ito sa mga manggagawa ng local movie at television industry.
“I think, it’s the end of rivalry. I mean now, we can, you know, share artists and talents and you know, everyone is given the opportunity to work. And like I’ve said before, it’s really more of job opportunities for the industry that we have grown a lot in. I think, bukod din po sa aming mga artista at mga tao na parte ng industrya, s'yempre ang magbe-benefit sa napagkagandang partnership na ito ay ang ating mga manonood,” esplika niya.
Tungkol naman sa nag-viral na intimate scenes nila ni Joshua Garcia, saludo raw siya sa pagiging marespeto, gentleman, at propesyonal ng aktor.
Nakatulong din daw na nagkaroon sila ng sensuality workshop para wala silang ilangan sa set.
"I guess for me, intimate scenes are the most difficult to do. It will require a certain level of vulnerability and trust from your scene partner and from your director and from everyone na nandoon sa set. Of course, as actors, we deliver what's required from us. Yes, merong intimate scenes because of my character and Joshua's character," aniya.
"They provided naman sensuality workshop. Iyong discussion about boundaries and what you're comfortable and not comfortable doing during the scene. So that's one of the preparations. It also helps that you always keep reminding yourself that you are not the character in the scene that you do," pahabol niya.
Sa Unbreak My Heart, ginagampanan ni Jodi ang papel ni Rose, isang babaeng nasangkot sa May-December love affair sa isang lalakeng sawing tulad niya. Magiging kumplikado ang kanilang journey nang umibig ang kanyang karelasyon sa isang nakababatang babae.
Kinunan sa iba't-ibang parte ng serye sa Switzerland, Italy, at Pilipinas. Ang romantic drama series na iprinudyus ng Dreamscape Entertainment ay idinirehe nina Emmanuel Palo at Dolly Dulu.
Bukod kay Jodi, kasama rin sa major cast sina Joshua Garcia, Gabbi Garcia, at Richard Yap. Nasa supporting cast naman sina Laurice Guillen, Eula Valdes, Sunshine Cruz, Nikki Valdez, Romnick Sarmenta, Victor Neri, Dionne Monsanto, PJ Endrinal, Maey Bautista, Marvin Yap, Mark Rivera, at ang up-and-coming actors na sina Will Ashley, Jeremiah Lisbo, at Bianca de Vera.
Ang Unbreak My Heart ay mapapanood na sa GMA Telebabad, Pinoy Hits, at I Heart Movies simula sa Mayo 29 sa ganap na 9:35 ng gabi at 11:25 ng gabi sa GTV.
