Kapamilya star Joseph Marco is currently in Malaysia for his first international acting project.
He is set to join the second season of the HBO Asia series The Bridge.
The actor made the announcement on Instagram earlier today, December 2, where he said it was his first shooting for the show in Kuala Lumpur.
“Where did life take me today? It’s my first day of shooting here in Kuala Lumpur,” he wrote in the caption. “Feels very surreal doing my first ever acting stint abroad! It’s such an overwhelming experience to be able to work with international production and I really am grateful for it! So thrilled to announce that I’ll be part of the second season of #TheBridge.”
Before taking part in this international project, it could be recalled that Joseph was part of the recently-concluded ABS-CBN drama series Los Bastardos with Jake Cuenca, Marco Gumabao, Albie Casiño, and Joshua Colet. Prior to that, he starred in a number of Kapamilya shows like Wildflower with Maja Salvador and Pasion De Amor with Cuenca and Ejay Falcon.
The Bridge is a remake of the Swedish drama series top-billed by Malaysian and Singaporean actors. It is produced by Endemol Shine.
Apart from Joseph, it was recently reported that two Filipino actors are also set to star in another HBO Asia Series.
It was last Friday, November 29, when HBO Asia announced that Bianca Umali will lead the cast of the third season of the dark fantasy series Halfworlds where she will star alongside Sam Concepcion.
