The Wanderlust mom-and-son tandem of Jodi Sta. Maria and 13-year-old Thirdy are currently exploring the beautiful country of Taiwan.
Since it’s their first there, Jodi asked her Instagram followers about the possible places they can visit and activities they can do while on vacation.
As a part of their adventure, the mother and son attended a cooking class that particularly teaches how to make the famous Chinese steamed bun xiao long bao (soup dumplings).
The actress shared a few photos of them on Instagram looking all satisfied with their bao creations.
There, she wrote, “Our travel adventure will never be complete without attending a cooking class. It's nice to have a taste of their culinary offerings.
“Here's Thirdy and I learning how to make xiao long bao (soup dumplings). Ang hirap pala!
“Now, we have better appreciation for dumplings. Mas madali sila kainin kaysa gawin. Heehee [heart] .”
Aside from learning how to make xiao long bao, they also learned how to prepare cucumber salad, braised beef noodles, and everyone’s favorite drink: bubble milk tea.
The 36-year-old Kapamilya artist loves to plan a vacation once in a while with her favorite travel buddy—her son. Before visiting Taiwan, their last trip together was in Mozambique, a country located in Southeast Africa, where they spent this year’s Valentine's Day.
