Jessy Mendiola shared some reflections about love after looking back at her recent church wedding with Luis Manzano.

Last Wednesday, February 21, the actress took to Instagram to commemorate their third wedding anniversary by sharing photos of their second wedding to followers.

She began her caption with a quote about marriage, saying it is not the end of the search for love but being the end of the search for the person to love.

Jessy, then, said that being with Luis for eight years and being married to him for three years has given her a lot of valuable lessons.

“One of them is that love is not always easy, and that it isn’t supposed to be easy all the time. You have to constantly work hard for it. And that’s okay,” she wrote.

"Today, I’m choosing to work harder for your love and happiness. Tulad nga ng sabi ni father, do not chase excitement, mas importante ang desire,” she added, referring to father Tito Caluag, who officiated their recently-concluded second wedding. “The desire to get married over and over again with that person you chose.”

Jessy also brought up the “biggest blessing” in their relationship, which was their first child Rosie, who was born last January 2023.

“And I always say this, kayo lang.. sapat na. I promise to love our family with all my being. I promise to always choose you over and over again even on our hardest days and I promise to protect our peace and happiness. I love you Peanut… And I love you, my howhow. Forever and always,” she said.

Jessy ended her heartwarming post by expressing gratitude to Luis for always choosing her.

“Happy 3rd anniversary, my love. Thank you for always choosing to love me no matter what. I love you with all my heart,” she concluded.

Jessy and Luis tied the knot for a second time in Coron, Palawan last February 15. Attendees of the wedding include Luis’ parents Edu Manzano and Vilma Santos, as well as his stepfather, former senator Ralph Recto. Jessy’s family was also there in attendance.

The couple’s first wedding took place at The Farm in San Benito in Batangas last February 2021 after five years of being together.
