Life insurance company, Sunlife, showcased their newest campaign dubbed Kaakbay: Stories of Lifetime Partnerships with ambassadors Piolo Pascual, Inigo Pascual, Enchong Dee, Matteo Guidicelli and Charo Santos-Concio held at Sofitel Philippine Plaza last Saturday, July 6.

Each star revealed how their lives were made brighter by their respective lifetime partners, who believed in them, supported them and inspired them through short videos that were presented during the event. The videos will be featured for the coming weeks on Sunlife’s YouTube channel starting July 13.

Through the stories shared by the celebrities themselves, they aim to inspire and encourage Filipinos to find their own lifetime partner who will help them achieve their full potential.

In line with the company’s campaign, Inigo also serenaded the crowd as he exclusively launched his new single entitled Kaakbay and its music video at the event.

“It’s a song you can dedicate to an important person in your life.” he said.

Charo Santos-Concio, who is used to tell other people’s stories on Maalaala Mo Kaya, decided to tell her own, this time, for the Kaakbay campaign. She particularly chose to share her love story. Her husband, Cesar Concio, she says is literally he “lifetime” partner. The kind of partner who made her feel that she’s whole and complete. He pushed her to pursue her dreams and juggled it along with her portraying the most important role in life--being a mother. “He’s my guide, my biggest fan, and my greatest love,” said Charo of the father of her two sons.
In his Sunlife video presentation, Matteo’s eyes lit up when he talked about his late paternal grandfather, his Nono Gianni Guidicelli, whom he considered as his lifetime partner. Through him, he said, he learned the importance of family. That’s why he’s the person he looks up to the most. “Nono was amazing, he was awesome.. Idol ko talaga si Nono Gianni
He named his two Italian restaurants after him (one is in his hometown in Cebu, one is in Alabang, Muntinlupa).
Sunlife pioneer brand ambassador Piolo says his son Inigo is his kaakbay sa buhay; and vice versa. Through the years, the father and son have built a special bond that no one else can break. They found a best friend in each other...someone they can trust, someone they can lean on. “He’s my son, my best friend, my bro.” said Piolo.
