The 54th IFFR, which began in 1972, is an annual film festival held at the end of January in different locations of Rotterdam and focuses on showcasing independent and experimental films.
Lilim, which is an official entry at the 54th IFFR, follows the story of a brother and sister (Heaven) who seek refuge in an orphanage during a period of unrest and enigmatic disappearances. However, things start to take a horrifying turn when the siblings discover dark cult practices and ancient evil among the nuns who handle the orphanage.
The horror film, directed by Mikhail Red, will also star Ryza Cenon, Eula Valdes, Gold Aceron, and Mon Confiado. It is set to premiere in Philippine cinemas this early 2025.
