ALAMAT to their Magiliws ahead of their upcoming concert RAGASA this December 6: “Napakagiliw niyo talaga. Andami na nating pinagdaanan from the start. Sana makasama namin kayo hanggang sa end and we are so very very grateful for your support. Hihintayin namin kayo sa concert, gagalingan namin para sa inyo. We love you, guys!”

After their first major concert DAGUNDONG closed its curtains last December 2023, P-pop boy group ALAMAT felt overwhelmed with the cheers of support they received from their fans, collectively known as Magiliws.

Hindi siya nagsink-in agad for us. It took a while for us to realize na we did this. Malayo na pero malayo pa ’yong pwede pa naming marating,” Jao said in an exclusive interview for pikapika.ph after their photoshoot for their upcoming concert RAGASA.

Now, as they enter into their second major concert RAGASA, ALAMAT feels nothing but gratitude for Viva who gave them the opportunity to showcase their diverse array of talents once more.

“This time, meron na kaming second concert so we would like to thank Viva and to all of our team, the teams in Viva who took care of us and, of course, Boss Vic [Del Rosario, Jr.] kasi kung hindi dahil sa inyo, wala kaming mararating ngayon,” Jao said. “Laban lang kami ng laban mga ALAMAT members.”

Now that they are entering their second concert, ALAMAT still feels the same feeling they felt during their first which is a mixture of excitement and nervousness.

Moreover, ALAMAT believes they are more prepared for their second concert than the first one as they have gone through the whole experience last year.

“At least, nadaanan na natin ’yon. Alam na natin ’yong pagod at hirap na madadaanan natin sa concert na ’to,” Alas said.

Their second concert is called RAGASA which, in Filipino, means “rush” or a “sudden quickening movement.” This term means a lot for the ALAMAT members because it reflects their status as musical artists now.

Ganoon kasi kami ngayon magwork,” Tomas said. “Puspusan and, siyempre, ni-ru-rush namin ’yong mga work pero hindi siya porke’t nagru-rush, hindi na namin pinagdadaanan ang mga paghihirap so lahat ’yan pinaghandaan,” Tomas said.

Sa amin, may kanya-kanya kasi kaming interpretasyon sa RAGASA so sa amin na lang siguro ’yong journey namin, kung paano kami mag-ra-ragasa this time sa concert na ’to and sa dadaan pang mga taon na ’to,” Alas said.

Seeing Magiliws all over the country travel to and from Manila to watch their first concert, ALAMAT believes that RAGASA will be a test if their group has made a wider reach in the country.

Dito natin masusukat kung lumaki ba talaga ’yong sakop ng ALAMAT,” Alas said. “Dito natin malalaman ’yon and sana pumunta kayo.”

Gusto rin namin na ’yong mga Magiliw from different parts of the Philippines, gusto namin sila makita. I’m sure there’s more sa bawat sulok ng Pilipinas pero if they haven’t had the chance to come last year, I’m praying for them to come and, hopefully, we’ll see them,” Taneo said.

For Alas, he believes what’s important is that RAGASA will serve as a gathering of a lot of Magiliws from around the country, as the group has only previously done shows in various cities and provinces.

Ang pinakaimportante talaga diyan is, kasi nagso-show kami sa mga province so sila ’yong nafo-focus lang namin. This time naman, sama-sama na lahat. Kumbaga mag-e-enjoy lahat sabay-sabay. Enjoyin natin ’yong araw na ’yon. Para sa inyong lahat ’yon, guys,” he said.

When asked if they have a message for their Magiliws ahead of their upcoming concert, ALAMAT looked back at their support from their beginnings.

Napakagiliw niyo talaga. Andami na nating pinagdaanan from the start,” Jao said. “Sana makasama namin kayo hanggang sa end and we are so very very grateful for your support. We love you, guys!”
