Cristine Reyes and Marco Gumabao took to their respective social media pages to share a new faith milestone.
Last Monday, June 23, the celebrity couple shared how they underwent water baptism at Favor Church, a Christian group in Manila, declaring their Christian faith to Jesus.
"Today marks another milestone in my life, I publicly declared my faith in Jesus through the sacrament of baptism. A sacred moment of rebirth and renewal in Christ, immersed in faith and surrounded by love," Marco wrote in his post.
The actor also gave a message to Cristine, saying "this is a new step in our Christian life together."
"I wouldn't want to have this with anyone else. I love you," he added
.
For her part, Cristine shared her reflections about her baptism and hearing the Word of God.
"Upon my initial entrance, I was met with a gracious reception and an atmosphere filled with worship, awesome sermon, and fellowship. Gradually, these elements have begun to dismantle the emotional barriers I had constructed over the years due to the hardships and grievances of my past. It is evident to me that I have discovered a sanctuary within this Christian community," she wrote.
Apart from Marco and Cristine, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, actor Dominic Roque, and singer Zephanie Dimaranan also received the sacrament of baptism, declaring their Christian faith.
Marco has starred in a number of Viva Films offerings in the past. In recent times, he had roles in movies Martyr or Murderer and Baby Boy, Baby Girl.
Cristine, on the other hand, recently starred in the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Penduko alongside Matteo Guidicelli.
