It was last Tuesday, October 13, when Liza Soberano spoke in a webinar spearheaded by the Gabriela Youth. It was there where she called up influencers to use their platforms to voice out on social issues on women and children.
A day later, internet trolls and bashers attempted to send hate towards her on Twitter because of her appearance on the webinar, trending the hashtag #BoycottLizaSoberano.
Netizens and supporters were quick to defend the actress, using the hashtag to send messages of support towards her.

As she said in the webinar, Liza was admittedly afraid to speak up against social issues on women and children in the past. However, she had a changed perspective last September, when a telecom employee made a rape joke against her.
This prompted her to file a complaint against the employee, with another reason being people should know that there are consequences behind their actions.
