Actress-screenwriter Bela Padilla took to Instagram yesterday to share a beautiful stolen photo of her sitting behind The Vessel, an iconic skyscraper and one of New York’s tourist spots.
In the said photo, Bela appeared peacefully closing her eyes as if savoring the moment while she was in the city that never sleeps.
Despite looking serene in the photo, Bela revealed that she was having a bad day at that time.
“This day in New York was particularly hard for me. June 6th. It changed me so drastically.” Bela wrote in her caption. “This day was so bad that I couldn’t muster up enough energy to take photos in this tourist attraction like my friends were doing.”
She added: “Instead, I sat far from where everyone posed. The Vessel, stood behind me and yet I kept my eyes closed. A friend, Mark, sent me this picture when I was back in Manila.
“And today, I’m actually happy that he took a photo of me at my saddest. I appreciate that at the worst of times, all I did was close my eyes and try to understand. That I didn’t turn into a person I wouldn’t want to face today.”
Bela also left uplifting words to those who are going through a hard time like what she experienced almost four months ago.
“I’m sure you all have been through tough times. It took me a while to believe that it will get better. And if you’re going through something now, have faith.❤️.”
To end her caption, she said, “one day, I will tell the story of what happened on June 6, 2019.”
On a separate post which she posted last June 7, Bela was actually with her dear celebrity friend Kim Chiu in New York.
She shared two mandatory tourist shots of them. And in the caption, Bela thanked Kim for taking care of her during her “blurry days”
Her full caption read: “Blessed I was with you on the blurry days. Thank you for always taking care of me and making me laugh, Kimmy ❤️ my sister from a Chinese father! 😂.”
Sending lots of hugs your way, Bela!
