A talent of Viva Entertainment since age 12, Anne Curtis took to Instagram on Thursday, February 6, to celebrate her 23rd year with the talent agency and media company, who she says is “family” to her.
The actress then told a story of her father’s first meeting with media mogul and Viva Chairman of the Board Vic Del Rosario, Jr. back in 1997, the latter promising the former that Anne will be a huge star under his care.
“A story I’ll never forget my dad telling me is when he met Boss Vic, he had told my dad, it will take time, years perhaps, but I will make your daughter a star in this industry.... and he kept his word to both my parents,” Anne narrated to her followers.
From her first appearance for Viva Films in the form of Magic Kingdom: Ang Alamat ng Damortis in 1997 until her recent lead role in the company’s collaboration with Star Cinema in the form of The Mall, The Merrier, Anne remains grateful that she is still doing what she loves through the media company.
“I will forever be grateful that they took the chance and believed in me,” Anne went on. “23 years have gone by and here I still am making films and still in the industry and field of art I have grown to love.”
In the past 23 years, Anne has appeared in a roster of iconic Viva Films such as Filipinas, Who’s That Girl, The Gifted, Sid & Aya: Not A Love Story, Aurora, and, quite recently, Just A Stranger.
She concluded her post by saying that despite taking a maternal leave from acting, she is, and always will be a Viva Teen, a Viva Leading Lady, and a Viva Mama.
“Sending light and love to my Viva Family whom I know have been feeling down lately. Love you all,” she concluded.
What a milestone to celebrate, Anne! Congratulations!
