Angel Locsin is just one among the many Kapamilya stars who contiually expresses her grief and dismay over the ABS-CBN shut down.
Angel has been taking to Instagram to give her piece regarding the decision of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to order ABS-CBN to discontinue its nationwide broadcast operations last Tuesday, May 5.
The network was not granted to renew their franchise and was directed to follow the Cease-and-Desist Order (CDO), a letter sent to “an individual or business to stop purportedly illegal activity and not restart it”, as defined by Google.
Angel showed her support to ABS-CBN by posting online her concerns about the network and its thousands of staff who went jobless in an instant.
In her latest NTC-related post, posted earlier today May 8, the actress took time to hit back at some of the questions and comments that veered way from the topic and seemed aimed at provoking her.
One Netizen, for instance, criticized her and told her to stop being a hypocrite for showing sympathy to ABS-CBN employees but not to tricycle and jeepney drivers who no longer have a source of income because of the pandemic.
Angel nicely pointed out that the commenter has a point, but added that she’s been doing the best she can to help. Moreover, she slammed back bu saying it’s not proper to load all the country’s problems on her shoulders.
“Yes ma’am, tama naman po kayo dyan. Sa kung anong makakaya ko naman po, sumusubok naman po akong makatulong... hindi lang po tama na ipasa niyo po sakin lahat. Hindi ko po obligasyon, kagustuhan ko lang po.” said Angel.
Another Netizen crassly asked where 10M-worth of donation she received for her COVID-19 relief effort, Unitent, went.P
“Nabigay ko na po lahat ng tent request and more na nasa budget sa loob ng 19 days. Nakapost po sir sa account ko yung breakdown,” Angel responded.
Another question that got Angel’s attention asked about her willingness to have ABS-CBN reopened on the condition that it operates with several restrictions and conditions from the government.
To which Angel replied, “parang puppet, ganun? Never.”
