The celebrity couple were wed yesterday, December 11, in a showstopping ceremony held at Villa Milagros Mansion and Gardens in Rodriguez, Rizal.
The venue’s pristine North Wing hall was transformed by event stylist Gideon Hermosa into a romantic garden decorated in rich hues of red, black, and white elevated by warm lighting from hundreds of candles and bulbs.
Wedding planner and coordinator La Belle Fete described the concept as “ethereal, moody and dramatic just like how [Kylie and Aljur] wanted it to be.”
This concept was kept in mind even when designing the aisle, which was made of reflective material that gave the illusion of flowing water. Inscribed in gold is a poem by the American poet and novelist Lang Leav, who according to Gideon wrote a poem specially for Aljur and Kylie.
In lieu of an altar were five tall light arches, the center being adorned with hundreds of roses arranged in a white to red gradient.
The reception took place in the same venue as the ceremony, which meant that the North Wing had to be transformed to accommodate more chairs and tables in just one hour.
The same black and white chairs from the ceremony were used for the reception, as they perfectly matched the expansive mirror tables that can easily seat at least 20 guests.
Even more stunning was the seven-tier cake, created by Chef Castillo Fuentes. Replete with symbolism, each layer of the cake was decorated in rich and intricate detail that relate to Aljur and Kylie’s story.
“Together they create a spanish baroque french chinoiserie inspired confection worthy of the queen of Lireo and her handsome King,” said the chef in his Instagram post.
Congratulations, Kylie and Aljur!
