Alden Richards reflects on his 9th showbiz anniversary in Baguio

Kapuso actor Richard Faulkerson Jr., popularly known as Alden Richards, had his one-day break in Baguio City to celebrate his 9th anniversary in show business.

The GMA 7 star shared a photo of him at what looks like a log cabin house in Baguio saying:  "Sometimes all you need is a one-day break."

On his other post, the 27-year-old actor also thanked his supporters who stood by him althroughout his 9 years of being in the showbiz industry, which he described as full of hard work, perseverance, and prayers. 

"Reflecting on the past 9 years and so much has happened, it’s almost surreal," Alden wrote on his Instagram post. "Some say it’s #blessed, some call it luck. It’s definitely hard work, perseverance, and prayers. All I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart. Maraming salamat sa inyo! Road to 10, let’s go!"

In his 9 years in the entertainment industry, the Kapuso actor has starred in several TV shows and movies.

Alden became part of youth-oriented show Reel Love Presents: Tween Hearts and the movie Tween Academy: Class of 2012.

He was paired with Louise delos Reyes for afternoon soap opera Alakdana, and primetime series One True Love, and Mundo Mo'y Akin

The actor from Laguna also played the role of young Malaya in the epic fantasy series Indio in early 2013.

In 2014, he became the leading man of Marian Rivera in Telebabad soap opera Carmela. In the same year, Alden played the character of the Philippine national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal in Ilustrado.

Alden joined noontime show Eat Bulaga in 2015 where the phenomenal AlDub love team with Maine Mendoza was accidentally formed. The two starred in TV series Destined to be Yours and movies My Bebe Love: #Kilig Pa More, and Imagine You and Me.

The award-winning actor also played student activist Bonifacio Ilagan for Alaala: A Martial Law Special in 2017. This special episode produced by GMA News and Public Affairs bagged the Gold Camera in the Docudrama category at the 50th US International Film & Video Festival. He also won silver medal award at the 2018 New York Festivals.

Alden teamed up with Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo in mid-2019 for the movie Hello, Love, Goodbye which is now the highest grossing Filipino film of all time. 

He also won Asian Star Prize Award at the 14th Seoul International Drama Awards in South Korea, where he earned his Asia's Multimedia Star title.

Alden Richards currently topbills the GMA Network's primetime series The Gift.
