IsaPuso

Viva Records' ALAMAT ups their game with the release of their second album Isapuso. Put on sonic display here is ALAMAT’s growth as music artists, building on what has worked before and at the same time experimenting and expanding their coverage. ALAMAT members Alas, R-Ji, Mo, Taneo, Tomas and Jao start with the rousing Thyro Alfaro-Cursebox collab “Dagundong.”

Then there’s the funky city-pop vibe of “Manila Dreams,” the regional appeal of “Dong Dong Ay,” the equally funky “Multo” (featuring Cursebox); plus three more songs including the Sean Cedro-written “Walang Hanggan” and “Dayang” and the ALAMAT-produced "Noli" (written by Mo Mitchell and helmed by Alas and R-Ji).

Also included in IsaPuso is the fan-fave track, “Day & Night.”

"Galaxy"

The Juans return with another thematic new song in “Galaxy.” The Juans—composed of Carl Guevarra, Japs Mendoza, Chael Adriano and RJ Cruz—is in the midst of releasing their latest EP, to which “Galaxy” is a part of, but they decided to release it as an appetizer for what's to come.

The cosmic musings in the lyrics of "Galaxy" (written by Carl, Japs and RJ) prove as an apt metaphor for love and admiration, wrapped in positive and upbeat sound.

"Akin Ka"

Prolific ALLMO$T releases yet another single, “Akin Ka,” in which sees the rap quartet moving beyond their stylistic boundaries.

This mid-tempo ballad, which harkens back to the standards and R&B pop arrangements of the past, is a lovely sounding love song that highlights the best efforts from singers Jom, Clien, Crakky, and Russell.

"Medyas"

Viral social media personality Joema "lugaw Lauriano dives into the seasonal music genre with his Christmas-themed song titled “Medyas.” Joema brings a novelty flavor into the proceedings with this cute and catchy tune that captures the Pinoy's favorite holiday.

Debuting Viva Records artist NJ Layn makes a splash via his acoustic-flavored pop song titled “Salamin.” Maro Ignacio lends him an assist in this easy-going, relaxed number about adoration.

"Want It Bad"

R&B, Hiphop, and pop artist Jae K returns with the made-for-the-club track “Want It Bad.” This atmospheric track eventually rises into a banger before settling in for vibe-y finish.

"RAW"

Al Tus and Rudyrude aka the Tu$ Brother$ lay down their tirades in one rough-sounding rap via their new single,  "Raw."

Nobody does hard and in-your-face message like the Tu$ Brother$ and they're coming in RAW in this booming mid-tempo number.

"11:11"

Pappel got the idea of this song from an online trend that connotes that the clock striking the 11:11 makes for a good make-a-wish time.

In Pappel's case, the wish is to have the courage to proclaim his love for a person he's admiring from afar. And the bigger wish is for this love to be reciprocated.

"I added some string sections to the song because I wanted to know how longing sounds or feels like."

"Kasalanan"
By EMN'98

OC Records' EMN’98 wrote this song mainly because she wants something empowering yet still able to convey rage in the most passive aggressive way possible.

“Kasalanan” embodies how she no longer wants to blame herself when she gets betrayed.

“Kasalanan” inspires giving the power and control back to whoever got disrespected and played with by letting them know when enough is enough.

This track shows a side of fighting back and not taking anything less than one deserves.

The line "wag na ako, iba nalang" is akin to saying we deserve the love we give and nothing less. Otherwise, go find another.
