For the first time in a long time—12 years to be exact—ay muling makakaranas ng Paskong Pinas ang very visible ulit na multi-awarded actor na si Aga Muhlach at damay na rin ang kanyang pamilya, asawang si Charlene Gonzalez at ang kambal na anak na sina Atasha at Andres, who both just recently turned 18 years old.
For the past 12 years kasi ay sa Amerika nagpa-Pasko ang mag-anak, starting pag Christmas vacation na ng mga bata.
“In the States, we have a place there,” k’wento ni Aga. “When the kids were younger, we would stay there four months in a year, now nabawasan na ’yon, naging two months nalang because the kids can only be there for like three weeks...
“So, nauuna kami to fix the house, to clean it up and the kids—well, they’re not kids anymore—follow.”
Unti-unti na rin daw umikli ang yearly Christmas vacation nila abroad gawa na rin ng busier schedule ng mga bata sa school.
“Bawal na kasi silang mag-absent because you know, nag-second year high school na sila, nag-third year...they’re in their fourth year now so, bawal na [mag-absent]. So, three weeks lang talaga sila free pagka Christmas [holidays],” dagdag ni Aga.
This year, totally scrapped ang plano nilang mag-Pasko abroad dahil may important movie na ipo-promote si Aga the entire holiday seasons, ang Metro Manila Film Festival entry na Miracle in Cell No. 7 ng Viva Films.
Kaya naman for the first time in a long time, makakaranas ng Paskong Pinas ang mga anak ni Aga.
“This is the only time...this is the first Christmas in the past 12 years na nandito kami, na first time naming nandito ng Christmas and New Year...parang first time ng kids na mag-Christmas dito as teens and it’s because of my movie for the film festival.”
