Hindi ikinaila nina Bela Padilla at JC Santos na nangangarap silang maging kasing-lakas, kung hindi man mahigitan, ng The Day After Valentine’s ang success sa takilya ng nauna nilang tambalang 100 Tula Para Kay Stella in last year’s Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP).

Ang The Day After Valentine’s ang official entry ng Viva Films in this year’s PPP.

Ayon kay Bela, na binansagan na ng ilang movie press bilang Queen of Heartbreak movies, kung nasaktan ang mga viewers noon sa naging ending ng 100 Tula, “Dito naman sa The Day After Valentine’s, parang sinasaksak ang puso mo althroughout the movie.”

In short, mas masakit.

The Day After Valentine’s hits the theaters August 15.

The entertainment press and bloggers converged near the stage, all hoping to get the best photo and video angles of JC, Bela, and Direk Jason Paul.

Undeniable ang on-screen chemistry nina JC at Bela, pero hundi raw ito ang naging basehan ni Direk Jason Paul para i-consider sila sa dalawang magkasunod na romantic movies na ginawa niya.

“Chemistry was the last thing on my mind,” say ni Direk Jason Paul sa presscon. “They were considered for the roles dahil sa kakayahan nilang i-deliver ’yog hinihingi no’ng roles.”

Viva Records artist Marion Aunor opened the press conference program by singing “Akala,” the heart-breaking theme song of The Day After Valentine’s.
