(Top Photo) The "Viva wall of Fame" ribbon-cutting ceremony and toast was led by no less than the Chairman himself, Boss Vic del Rosario (fifth from left). He was joined by (L-R) Direk Paul Basinillo head of the Wall of Fame committee), Viva Records/Vicor Records CEO Tony Ocampo, Viva's Finance Head Ma'am Tess Cruz, Ms. Veronique del Rosario-Corpus of the Viva Artists Agency, and Val del Rosario, creative head of Viva.

The Viva Wall of Fame is comprised of 41 well-selected black-and-white photographs of Viva's pioneers and luminaries at kasama dito ang mga taga-mundo ng musika. Ito ngayon ang nakasabit sa palibot ng buong opisina ng Viva sa 7th flooor ng Tektite Towers sa Ortigas Center.

Initially, simpleng display lamang daw ang gusto ni Boss Vic, ayon kay Direk Paul Basinillo, who is also now the Chief Marketing Officer of Viva. He's the one who suggested the dea of the wall of fame na agad namang binasbasan ni Boss Vic.

Direk Paul formed a selection committee pero si Boss Vic mismo ang namili ng Final 41 who will represent Viva's 41 years.

"The idea is for the young artists to look up these celebrities," lahad ni Direk Paul. "Parang ganu'n 'yong idea niyan. Para ma-inspire sila na hopefully in a few years' time, nandyan ka na rin."

Senator Robin Padilla, who came from Visayas that day, made sure he drops by to see Boss Vic on this special day. There, he revealed that it was Boss Vic whom he met up with first when former president Rodrigo Duterte told him to run for senator.
"Sabi ko, 'Boss, ano bang gagawin ko dito?' Sabi niya, wag kang magpaka-pultiko. Pakita mo ang totoong ikaw.'"

Nagpa-renovate ng ilang bahagi ng opisina in time for the reveal. Pero ang pinaka-challenging part daw sa part ng wall of fame team ay ang paghahanap ng mga larawan at ang pag-re-restore ng karamihan dahil hindi na ganu'n kaganda ang quality dahil sa age.

"Tiniyaga yan, ni-retouch," ani Direk Paul. "Kumbaga sa film restoration, parang ganu'n ang ginawa namin. We restored the photos. We have to go the entire process para maging presentable to everyone."

A special mass was held prior to the "Viva Wall of Fame" festivities.

"I think they can understand...variety naman [ang napili]—from music to film to entertainment directors, writers, composers... ganu'n po s'ya. Like George Canseco is there."

The 41 Viva luminaries are: FPJ, Vilma Santos, Sharon Cuneta, Robin Padilla, Sarah Geronimo, Anne Curtis, Nora Aunor, Aga Muhlach, Eddie Garcia, Regine Velasquez, Andrew E., Vice Ganda, Christine Reyes, Christopher de Leon, Matteo Guidicelli, Bela Padilla, Xian Lim, Nadine Lustre, Yassi Pressman, Bong Revilla, Hilda Koronel, Philip Salvador, Cesar Montano, Cherie Gil, Dawn Zulueta, Nanette Medved, Dina Bonnevie, Rufa Mae Quinto, Janno Gibbs, Donna Cruz, Vina Morales, Herbert Bautista, Mark Bautista, Kylie Verzosa, TGIS, Viva Hot Babes, Dindo Fernando, Leroy Salvador, Dennis Garcia, Willy Cruz, and George Canseco.

Very jovial ang mood ni Boss Vic during the ribbon-cutting ceremony at lalo na noong-isa isa na n'yang na-view, along with other Viva executives, ang mga framed photographs—each representying a piece of Viva history—that are now gracing the Viva office.

Sa kanyang mini speech during the program pagkatapos ng pag-iikot niya sa kabuuan ng Viva office, sinabi ng Viva topman sa kanyang mga empleyado at members of the press na naroon na maraming magaganap na pasabog ang palaki nang palaking Viva Entertainment enterprise.

"Maraming salamat, forty-one years ng Viva. Thank you, thank you. Hopefully more movies, more blockbusters, and s'yempre ang mga bago nating negosyo like Vivamax, Viva Foods, Viva Kids, tapos 'yong ating digital, 'yong Oomph. Vivamax Prime will be launched next year...

"Thank you sa lahat. Forty one years! Salamat."
